DELRAY BEACH, FLA. — In April, he departed as Region Senior VP of Sales for iHeartMedia’s Washington, D.C., station group, concluding a nearly 6 1/2 year run there. Now, he’s resurfaced as Director of Sales for the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton radio market’s biggest group of AMs and FMs.

Taking the key role at Hubbard Radio in the Palm Beaches is Danny Bortnick.

He reports to Market President Elizabeth Hamma. “We are fortunate to welcome Danny,” she said. “With his extensive and successful track record of driving revenue growth as well as fostering strong client relationships, we are confident Danny will make a big impact on our team and our advertising partners.”

Bortnick first joined iHeart’s Washington cluster as SVP/Sales in 2018. Before that, he was VP/Director of Sales for CBS Radio/Washington (now owned by Audacy). There, he was GSM of the former WNEW-FM “All News 99.1,” which tried to compete against Hubbard’s dominant WTOP Radio. His resume also includes roles as Director of Sales for Salem Communications in New York, and as Interactive Sales Manager for WINS-AM 1010 under CBS Radio from 2007-2008.

The University of Miami graduate began his career in 2005 as an Account Executive for Christal, within the Katz Radio Group. “I couldn’t be more excited to be joining Hubbard South Florida,” Bortnick said. “I’m humbled to be representing such powerful brands, as well 2060 Digital. Looking forward to helping the Hubbard South Florida team reach new levels of success.”

Hubbard’s West Palm Beach stations are comprised of Hot Adult Contemporary WRMF, Classic Hits WEAT “Sunny 107.9,” WIRK “New Country 103.1,” Adult R&B WMBX “X102.3,” News/Talk WFTL-AM 850, WMEN “Fox Sports 640,” and Top 40 WRMF-HD4 “Party 96.3.”
