There’s a new leader for the iHeartMedia radio stations serving the state capital of Texas, and the market to the southwest that’s home to the Alamo and the Spurs.

Concurrently, the company’s Dallas-Fort Worth stations has promoted from within when selecting its new SVP of Sales.

Christine Martinez-Escobar is returning to iHeartMedia to serve as Market President for Austin. At the same time, Rosie Perez steps into the role of Market President for San Antonio.

As Market President, Escobar will oversee the operations for all five iHeartMedia Austin stations: KHFI “96.7 KISS FM,” KASE-FM 100.7, KVET-FM 98.1, KPEZ “102.3 The Beat,” and KVET-AM “1300 The Zone.” She’ll also oversee the HD2 offerings “ALT 97.5” and ’80s focused KHFI-HD2.

Escobar previously served as President/GM of TelevisaUnivision’s Uforia-branded radio stations in Austin, and has served as the stations’ Director of Sales, General Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Account Executive, across a 21-year tenure. From 2001 to 2003, she was with iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Communications.

Perez will oversee the operations of all seven iHeartMedia San Antonio stations: KQXT “Q101.9,” KAJA “KJ97,” KXXM “96.1 NOW,” WOAI-AM 1200, KZEP “104.5 Latino Hits,” KRPT-FM “The Bull,” and KTKR-AM “Ticket 760.” Additionally, KQXT HD3 “La Preciosa 105.7” will be under Perez’s purview.

Perez joined the stations in June 2000 under Clear Channel as a Promotions Coordinator and has worked her way up the ladder, earning increased responsibility in the sales department.

Meanwhile, in North Texas, George Flora is taking the SVP/Sales post; he was in a similar role in Austin. Flora’s experience at iHeartMedia includes posts as VP of Sales/Director of Automotive Partnerships in Los Angeles, and as Vice President of Sales in Phoenix.

Three three leaders will report to Amy Leimbach, Region President for iHeartMedia Dallas-Austin-San Antonio.

“Rosie, Christine and George are incredibly talented and are the right choice to lead their teams in the Dallas-Austin-San Antonio Region,” said Leimbach. “They each have a strong track record and a unique set of skills that fit their respective markets, with the ability to build and cultivate winning teams.”
