On November 14, 2023, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel unveiled a proposal that, if adopted, would begin a proceeding “to advance the Commission’s longstanding policy goal of supporting local journalism and broadcasters’ commitment to meet the needs and interests of local communities.” As 2024 began, a NPRM arrived.
Today the debate over MB Docket No. 24-14 continues, and America’s Public Television Stations (APTS) has expressed its concerns over the proposal.
