The Market President for iHeartMedia‘s collection of radio stations in Fairbanks, Alaska, the company’s northernmost market, has just been promoted to Area President for the entire state of Alaska and for the company’s properties on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu.

With the retirement of Andy Lohman coming soon, Kim Williams has been chosen as his successor.

Some 17 stations comprise the Alaska/Hawaii area for iHeartMedia.

Williams will report to Dan Lankford, Division President for iHeartMedia.

“I have had the privilege of working with Kim over the past four years while she served as Market President for Fairbanks and I’m excited to see Kim’s passion and experience expand to all of the iHeartMedia stations across the entire Alaska and Hawaii area,” said Lankford.

Williams’ resume includes roles as Account Executive for the former Pacific Star and AMFM Inc., and as Sales Manager for the Anchorage stations when iHeartMedia was known under its original name, Clear Channel Communications.

“I am grateful to iHeart and thrilled for the opportunity to work with these incredible markets,” Williams said. “Alaska and Hawaii are two of the most diverse, extreme, and beautiful states. I’m incredibly proud to learn from and contribute to our amazing teams in Honolulu, Fairbanks, and Anchorage.”

The station’s stations in this area are comprised of Anchorage-based KGOT-FM, KBFX, KASH, KYMG-FM, KENI-AM, and KTZN-AM; Fairbanks-based KIAK-FM, KKED-FM, KFBX-AM, and KAKQ-FM; and Honolulu-based KSSK-FM, KDNN-FM, KUBT-FM, KUCD-FM, KHVH-AM, KIKI-AM, KUCD-HD2 “Star 99.1.”
