Since December 2012, he’s been associated with iHeartMedia in Portsmouth, N.H., most recently as a Senior VP of Programming for the company’s New Hampshire properties. But, he formally began his career at WKSQ-FM in Bangor, Me., in May 1982 and from 1991 through May 2012 was associated with what is today Cumulus Media’s WHOM-FM and WJBQ-FM in Portland, Me.

As of today, he’s now the President/CEO of the Maine Association of Broadcasters.

Now leading the state broadcasters association is Tim Moore.

The appointment comes following “an extensive search” prompted by the unexpected passing earlier this year of Suzanne Goucher.

Leading the search for the MAB is its Board of Directors Chairman, David Abel. The President/GM of WMTW-8 in Portland, Me., says, ““The Board was looking for someone with deep experience in Maine broadcasting and extensive relationships throughout the state—and Tim stood out among some very qualified candidates. There is much to be done to position the MAB for the future-and we are excited to have Tim lead that effort.”

Moore commented, “I have loved the MAB for years—and believe in their mission to advocate for broadcasters on every level. Thanks to Chairman David Abel, incoming Chair Corey Garrison and the entire Board of Directors for placing their faith and trust in me. I am beyond excited to lead the MAB into the future-and cannot wait to get started!”
