On August 28, the American Cable Association argued in comments filed with the FCC regarding Gray Television’s proposed purchase of Raycom Media that the “considerable national consolidation” resulting from the deal “will raise retransmission consent prices.”
The ACA on Friday (9/21) submitted its Reply Comments to the FCC on the matter, and it is sticking to its argument that retrans fees will go up if the deal is OK’d by the Commission — and that Gray ignored a key ACA argument presented in August.
