A TV Deal That’s An Act of Defiance

American Christian Television Services has reached an agreement that will see the sale of its low-power digital TV station licensed to the city of Defiance, Ohio.

The buyer is an entity that in September 2021 partnered with DuJuan McCoy‘s Circle City Broadcasting that brought the expansion of the “Indiana News Network” to more stations across the neighboring Hoosier State.

Metro Video Productions, known for its digital multicast channel delivery, is purchasing WNHO-LD 35 in Defiance, Ohio, from ACTS.

A $280,000 purchase price has been agreed upon; a 10% escrow deposit has been made by MVP, led by Gregory Phipps.

Terms of the deal, however, allow the seller to lease one Standard Definition channel (specifically, the 2.0 Mb portion of the 19.3 Mb ATSC 1.0 channel) on WNHO for two years at $1,250 per month, effective on the closing date.
