It’s a 1,000-watt AM radio station with 1 tower serving tiny Livingston, Montana. Previous owners include iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel, Marathon Media, and GAPWEST Broadcasting, a predecessor to its current owner, Townsquare Media.

Pending FCC approval, Townsquare will be added to the station’s roster of former owners.

KPRK-AM 1340, which presently simulcasts Bozeman-based KMMS-AM 1450, is being spun by Townsquare Media to Moleo Media Group.

Moleo is an entity controlled by Andrew Feltenstein, and it is acquiring KPRK for $350,000.

A 10% escrow deposit has been made and is being held by Flying S Title & Escrow Services.

Payment of the balance is due in cash at closing.

The broker representing Townsquare Media in this transaction is ERA Landmark Wester Land Office.

Thus, the price of KPRK likely includes its shuttered former studios and offices, used until KMMS simulcasts were put in place in 2019 and FCC rules were changed to eliminate the need for a local office and studio.

Bozeman Real Estate Group listed the KPRK studios and offices on U.S. Highway 89 at $475,000. “A true Livingston landmark, the KPRK building was built in 1947 and sits on .9 acres,” the real estate listing reads. “The 1,608 square foot building was built with futuristic Art Moderne style, including the whimsical miniature radio tower over the front door. The building is in the flood plain and there will be special requirements for anybody looking to improve the property.”

Zoned Neighborhood Commercial, the building currently has no heat source.
