He’s known in Wabash, Indiana for his ownership, operations and on-air presence at an FM known for “good time rock & roll” that in the Noon hour on Tuesday was playing “Teenager in Love” by Dion and the Belmonts. Now, Class A WJOT-FM is poised to become siblings to a pair of AM radio stations and an FM translator in a small Hoosier city to the south.
Bruce Danzinger, founder of Vox Radio Group and from 1995 through 1998 the Director of Investor Relations at American Radio Systems (ARS), has agreed to sell an additional group of stations via his Hoosier AM/FM LLC.
The buyer is Wade Weaver‘s Dream Weaver Marketing LLC, which is acquiring WBAT-AM & WMRI-AM in Marion, Ind., along with W288DN. And, he’s paying just $30,000 for the stations. A $10,000 deposit has been made by Weaver to Danzinger.
The two AMs and FM translator are presently licensed and silent, under an extension of an original STA request filed with the FCC in December 2025. The request for silent Special Temporary Authority states that the stations on December 1 ceased broadcasts “because of a loss of its studio lease.” Options for the resumption of operations were then to be explored, Danzinger told the FCC.
Marion is some 20 miles south of Wabash, and the acquisition of the stations could point to an expansion of “The Bash,” heard on WJOT, to the city. WJOT’s signal does not fully reach Marion.
The transaction concludes Danzinger’s ownership of stations in Marion, following a transaction agreed to late last year.
At the end of 2025, Danzinger agreed to sell Class B Hot Adult Contemporary WXXC-FM “Star 106.9” in Marion, Ind., to non-secular Taylor University Broadcasting Inc., along with Class A Country WCJC-FM in Van Buren, Ind., serving Marion, for $435,000.
