In September 2021, RBR+TVBR first shared the news of a proposed sale involving a Class A FM radio station with a signal blanketing a one-time Spring Break destination that remains a popular winter burg.
The deal, brokered by Jay Meyers’ Broadcast Management & Technology, has now closed.
Horizon Broadcasting Company, of which Meyers serves as management consultant and serves as an outside COO, has completed the sale of WGSX-FM 104.3 in Lynn Haven, Fla., to Gold Standard Broadcasting.
Gold Standard had been operating the station serving Panama City, Fla., under a Time Brokerage Agreement since June 2017. It is an ESPN Radio affiliate.
The transaction leaves Meyers-managed Horizon with one property: Top-rated Classic Hits WSBH-FM “Beach 98.5” in Melbourne, Fla.
Total payments for WGSX are $300,000.
In addition to WGSX, Gold Standard, led by Randall Williams, operates BLAB TV, which specializes in video production and advertising and focuses on the Pensacola, Fla., and Fort Walton Beach-Destin, Fla., markets.
