Greater Media has launched “Good Time Oldies” on WCTC 1450 AM in New Brunswick, NJ. The new station line-up will include “The Morning Show with Jack Ellery” from 6 AM to 10AM and “good time oldies” throughout the rest of the day.

The station, which has held the news/talk format for the past 16 years, made the change in an effort to address the evolving needs of WCTC listeners.

"We are actually returning WCTC to its roots," said Greater Media New Jersey Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager Dan Finn. "The station was best known for many years as an entertaining music station with legendary personality Jack Ellery in the morning and Rutgers sports. The station has literally come full-circle."

"The response to the new format on WCTC can be summed up in one word: excitement," said Station Manager Dan Henrickson. "The combination of Jack Ellery, our sports portfolio and "Good Time Oldies" is a winner. Wake up with Jack……..then kick back with the best music ever. What is there not to like? ‘CTC has thrived for 62 years by providing various mixtures of talk and music. Our research indicated a very big appetite for this music, which has survived the test of time and is embraced by all ages."

Veteran newsman Bruce Johnson will have expanded responsibilities as the statewide news director of Greater Media New Jersey.
