From the engineering team to those in the front office eager to learn more about licensed broadcast facilities, a website developed by Cavell, Mertz & Associates and launched in 2002 has proved invaluable as a FCC-focused search engine. Now, FCCInfo.com has a new owner, and it is the entity led by President/CEO Josh Bohn.

Bohn-led MaxxKonnect Group has acquired FCCInfo.com, assuming ownership and operation of the FCC database and mapping service used by broadcast engineers, consultants, and station operators throughout the industry.

MaxxKonnect plans to maintain the existing services while updating the site’s underlying software and evaluating additional features.
All existing FCCInfo.com search services will remain free of charge, but Bohn hints that “optional premium features” behind a paywall may surface in the future.

The acquisition brings FCCInfo.com into MaxxKonnect’s existing broadcast technology operations, which include broadcast engineering, consulting and technical services, wireless & satellite connectivity solutions, and the MonitorMaxx family of monitoring and operations products.

Cavell Mertz will continue its association with FCCInfo.com in an advisory role, providing engineering expertise and continuity as the service transitions to its new ownership.
