Don Davis and his Vanguard Media LLC are one step closer to gaining ownership of an AM radio station and its FM translator serving a community due west of greater Albuquerque.
The Class D facility, KMIN-AM in Grants, N. Mex., is being sold along with K282BW at 104.3 MHz to Vanguard by KD Radio.
The seller is led by Derek Underhill, who is accepting $50,000 for the sale of the facilities.
KMIN is known for its Country music format. Davis is known for his long-time ownership of radio stations in Albuquerque.
The KMIN purchase comes after Davis agreed to pay $50,000 to Socorro Community Radio for KNMQ-FM in Socorro, N. Mex.
