He joined Saga Communications eight years ago as President/GM of its Charleston, S.C., media properties. Now, he will oversee and drive the company’s digital revenue strategy in a corporate role.

Paul O’Malley was named Sr. Vice President of Revenue Development by Saga in an announcement distributed over the weekend.

O’Malley will work closely with Saga’s Market managers, media advisors and customers to strengthen consultative selling and remove barriers to execution and success.

He said, “I’m honored by the opportunity to help lead Saga’s next phase of growth by developing innovative revenue strategies, strengthening client partnerships, and working alongside our exceptional fulfillment partners and corporate team.”

Saga will conduct a search for O’Malley’s replacement in Charleston, S.C., where he’s been since the start of 2018. Before taking the role, he served as a Sr. VP of Music and Entertainment at Westwood One. From March 2008-January 2013, he was Southeast Regional VP for Citadel Communications. It was an Atlanta-based role he earned after working in Charleston for Citadel as its Market Manager.

O’Malley’s previous roles included a stint as Southeast Regional VP for Katz Radio, and as Station Manager and General Sales Manager at KYSR “Star 98.7” in Los Angeles more than two decades ago.
