A low-power television station serving the popular outdoor enthusiast city of Bend, Ore., is being spun to an operator known for its radio, TV and digital offerings focused on Christian-themed programming.

According to an asset purchase agreement finalized on June 29 and submitted on Friday for regulatory approval from the FCC, theDove Media Inc. is agreeing to purchase KBND-LD in Bend, Ore., from Combined Communications.

The seller is based in Bend and is fronted by Charles Chackel.

And, he’s poised to pocket $325,000 from the sale of the low-power TV station.

Terms call for theDove to enter into a Tower Use Agreement with Combined, allowing it to use the Awbrey Butte Tower Site for $1,200 per month for an initial period of five years, commencing at closing.

There is no broker or finder associated with this transaction, which sees Emilie de Lozier of Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP serve as the buyer’s legal counsel.

TheDove uses a network of low-power TV stations across Northern California and Oregon’s I-5 corridor, serving viewers from Vancouver, Wash., south to the Oakland Hills in the San Francisco Bay Area.
