A 100-watt noncommercial FM radio station serving tiny Dushore, Pa., is being acquired by a 50/50 partnership that will put it in the hands of a purveyor of AEC support services and equipment and a local community solutions organization.
WMLD-FM 88.1 is being acquired by AFB Community Solutions Organization, a partnership between Jennipher and Thomas Adams.
The seller is Kevin Fitzgerald‘s Telikoja Educational Broadcasting Inc., and he’ll earn $5,000 from the sale.
A tower lease is in play, allowing for seamless transfer of control of WMLD.
Dushore is reached via U.S. Highway 222, and is a windy one-hour drive from Williamsport or an even more windy 85-minute drive from Scranton.
