At the end of 2024, Jan Wade will call it a career. What does this mean for the leadership of a Hearst Television station serving Milwaukee? That role is going to an individual who succeeded Ariel Roblin as KETV-TV in Omaha’s President/GM more than four years ago.
He also happens to be this station’s former National Sales Manager.
Taking the top post at ABC affiliate WISN-12 is longtime Hearst Television executive Shawn Oswald.
“Shawn is an experienced Hearst Television leader who brings a record of success with him back to WISN,” said Hearst Television President Michael J. Hayes. “He draws from a diverse background in complex and competitive markets. Over the last decade, his teams have consistently delivered in news, sales, and community service initiatives.”
Oswald assumed the top role at KETV-7 on June 29, 2020. From 2014 until that promotion, he served in a similar role for Hearst in Fayetteville and Fort Smith, Ark., where it operates KHBS-TV & KHOG-TV, ABC and The CW Network affiliates, respectively.
From 1998-2000, Oswald was at WISN-12, serving in the NSM post.
Shawn Oswald is a graduate of the Hearst Management Institute, an executive training program facilitated by Northwestern University. He earned a broadcasting degree from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas where he played on the men’s tennis team.
