Savvy, innovative, and agile: Independent and small broadcasters embody the spirit of entrepreneurship and a commitment to community service. Despite the challenges and changes of a constantly evolving media environment, these organizations and their leaders consistently overdeliver.

Want to know how they do it? Join us for Forecast 2025 at the Harvard Club in the City of New York on Wednesday, November 13.

The panel session “Main Street Media: Where Local Broadcast Survives & Thrives” features visionary small/independent broadcast station owners and executives eager to share their perspectives, challenges, and strategies.

Dennis Wharton

Serving as the panel’s moderator is respected former National Association of Broadcasters EVP of Communications Dennis Wharton.

Wharton will lead a panel that includes:

  • DuJuan McCoy, Owner, President & CEO, Circle City Broadcasting
  • Barry Fisher, President/GM, WFMZ-TV & WDPN-TV in Allentown-Philadelphia
  • Kelly Trask, Owner, BK Media Solutions/Southern Indiana Radio Network
  • Jose Villafañe, Founder/Managing Partner/CEO, Nueva Network and Costa Media

“The world loves an underdog, and that’s especially true in the consolidating communications world,” Wharton says. “Join us at Forecast for a discussion among four successful independent radio and TV broadcasters on their unique challenges and ‘break the mold’ business strategies that set them apart from larger market group operators.”
