Today is the final day for the good news, en español, at a broadcast operation serving evangelical Hispanics in Memphis.
That’s because a Time Brokerage Agreement goes into effect June 1 ahead of the planned sale of the Class D daytime-only AM operation and its all-important FM translator.
Ministry Outreach Foundation (MOF-Christian Media I LLC) is agreeing to sell WUMY-AM 830 and W288BJ at 105.5 MHz in Memphis to a limited liability company comprised of five individuals including Wilkins Radio Network’s Jacob Wilkins.
The entity, WEZMO Broadcasting LLC, is agreeing to purchase the facilities for $460,000.
A $23,000 deposit is being held in escrow by attorney John C. Trent of Putbrese, Hunsacker & Trent.
The remaining funds are to be paid in cash at closing.
