There’s a clear leader in the automotive insurance specialist category on the latest Spot Ten Cable report from Media Monitors. While the category is still an active one, the gap between the leader and Liberty Mutual Insurance is wide.
Meanwhile, GEICO, Allstate, The General, State Farm and other big auto insurance companies aren’t using Spot Cable to the extent of Liberty Mutual or the overall leader, Progressive.
In fact, Progressive’s activity is significantly bigger than seasonal Spot Cable user TurboTax.
Meanwhile, Burger King is kick starting a new promotional campaign with a big jump in its Spot Cable activity for the week ending March 17 — a time when many college students are on Spring Break.

With our look at the Spot Ten TV report, which measures play count of spots on broadcast television stations, there are clear differences.

As shown above, a new campaign from Nissan is perhaps the biggest in years for broadcast TV, by play count. Then, there are the ubiquitous Wendy’s spots and pharma brand Dupixent, the overall leader by a significant margin.
