A South-Of-Boston Radio Facility Is Sold

A Class D AM radio station and its FM translator at 101.1 MHz in the Massachusetts city of Brockton have been sold.


Who is the buyer? It’s a woman based in Sharon, Mass., who has reached a deal with the seller, Ed Perry.

Beatrice Cesar and her Fraternity Broadcasting Group LLC has signed off on the acquisition of WBMS-AM in Brockton, Mass., and FM translator W266DA.

The seller is Perry-led Marshfield Broadcasting, which is earning $350,000 from the sale of the station. A $1,000 deposit has been made by Fraternity.

Except for Harold Bausemer, who represented Cesar, no broker, finder or other person
is entitled to a commission, brokerage fee or other similar payment in connection with
this agreement.

Serving as the seller’s legal counsel in this transaction is Washington, D.C.-area communications attorney Allan J. Moskowitz.

At present, WBMS and the AM translator are simulcasting WATD-FM, owned by Marshfield.
