LPTV Broadcasters Association Makes Exec. Dir. Move

In July 2022, Michael Lee exited as the first Executive Director of the LPTV Broadcasters Association, founded by “SuperFrank” Copsidas. Now, the individual selected to replace him on a temporary basis is departing, and the advocacy group is now welcoming its next person to take the role.

Copsidas tells RBR+TVBR that Peter Saad, who is exiting, was actually an “interim executive director.” And, “between the three- hour daily commute and his two personal business projects and a baby, he needed more time for himself.”

As such, Charlie Juergens is taking on the Executive Director role, starting January 3.

He comes from the real estate world and is a broker in Greenwich, Conn., but “he’s in sales,” Copsidas says, thus making him qualified to hold the role. “I like people from outside the broadcasting world, and we actually haven’t had any interesting applicants from inside the broadcasting world.”

Juergens also served as Sales Manager for Rolling Stone, from 1999-2000.

Juergens says, “I’m very excited to be joining the LPTVBA team. I look forward to working with our current members and keeping them abreast with what’s going on in our industry and keeping them informed on upcoming legislation. And, I’m excited to have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with our members in the upcoming year. We are anticipating a productive and exciting 2023 for all of us!”

Copsidas adds, “We appreciate the work and efforts of Peter Saad, who is pursuing his own two ventures.”

Juergens will be assisted on a part-time basis by Intrigue TV’s Chris Desiderio for website and marketing needs at the LPTVBA.
