She’s a University of San Diego alum and has been with iHeartMedia and its predecessors for nearly three decades. Now, the Sr. VP of Sales for its stations in San Diego and Riverside-San Bernardino is getting a promotion.

Effective Sunday (7/31), she’ll be the Market President for iHeartMedia San Diego.

Earning the promotion is Noreen Ippolito, putting her in control of an eight-station cluster comprised of Classic Rock KGB-FM, Active Rocker KIOZ-FM “Rock 105.3,” Top 40 KHTS “Channel 93.3,” Hot Adult Contemporary KMYI-FM “Star 94.1,” Rhythmic Top 40 KSSX “JAMN 95.7,” AM Talkers KOGO-AM and KFMB-AM, and Sports Talk KLSD “Xtra 1360.”

Her role will also involve the top leadership role for Rhythmic Top 40 KGGI-FM in Riverside, in addition to Alternative KMYT “Radio 94.5” and Rock KTMQ “Q103.3” in Temecula; FOX Sports Radio 1350; and BIN: Black Information Network AM 1440.

Ippolito will report directly to Tom McConnell, Division President for iHeartMedia Markets Group.

Melissa Forrest, who has been in this role, will transition into a consultant position, iHeartMedia confirms.

“Noreen is an incredible talent with an outstanding track record,” said McConnell. “She has strong business acumen and understands how to build and cultivate high performing teams. She is the perfect choice to lead our San Diego and Riverside markets.”

Ippolito said, “I’m beyond grateful to the leadership team at iHeartMedia for entrusting me with some of the leading iHeart markets in the country. iHeartMedia San Diego/Riverside is well positioned with exceptional programming, incredible talent and a culture built on respect, inclusion and success.”

Ippolito joined what was then Clear Channel Communications in May 1995 as LSM, rising to GSM and then the Non-Traditional Revenue Director for its San Diego stations. It was her entry into radio, following 5 1/2 years at Marriott Hotels as a sales and convention floor manager.
