Now that the combination of Televisa and Univision Communications is complete, so is the “redesign” of the team structure of the TelevisaUnivision communications team.

This sees the arrival of a SVP of Corporate Communications of an individual most recently in the role of VP/Corporate Communications, Public Affairs & DE+I at Cox Media Group.

That would be Michelle Miguelez, who is tasked with leading corporate media relations, internal communications and issues management in support of all corporate areas of the global business.

At CMG, Miguelez led communications strategies, change management practices and employee engagement programs guiding employees through CMG’s acquisition and establishment as an independent media company.

Reporting to Miguelez is Senior Director of Corporate Communications Maria Areco, who has been in the role for the last several weeks.

Leading communications for ViX and all of TelevisaUnivision’s entertainment, news and sports content is Gabriel Andriollo. He joins from HBO Max, where he launched the service internationally and served as the Head of Publicity & Activations for Latin America. New hires reporting to Gabriel are Viviana Rubinstein, who recently joined TelevisaUnivision as Sr. Director of Digital Communications, coming from Netflix; and Estefania Diaz-Balart, joining as Sr. Director of Sports Communications. She’s inbound from from Motorsports Games and Inter Miami CF.

In other moves, Alyssa Bernstein joins as Vice President of Communications, supporting Sales and Distribution in the United States. She will lead media relations and communications strategies across commercial business divisions, including national and local advertising sales, content distribution and partnerships, working to amplify key initiatives with trade media. Alyssa joins from Paramount Global, where she managed communications for the company’s ad sales business, focusing on advertising and marketing initiatives such as the annual Upfront.

Concurrently, Rubén Acosta Montoya expands his role to become General Director of Communications for TelevisaUnivision in Mexico and Latin America, also incorporating the responsibility over Internal Communications for the merged company in the region, besides heading external communications regionally.

All of the aforementioned executives report to Flavia Vigio, who arrived from WarnerMedia in July 2021 as the company’s Executive Vice President of Communications.

Vigio’s direct reports also include Julissa Bonfante, Vice President of Content Publicity in the U.S.
