MIAMI — In November 2019, Salem Media Group announced that it had agreed to sell two AMs and an FM translator in the Miami market as part of a deal that included Tampa properties. Among the Miami AMs in the deal: WKAT-AM, once the home of now-deceased Talk radio legend Neil Rogers and for Classical programming following the demise of WTMI-FM.
Now, Salem is again selling a Miami station with the WKAT call letters. Only, it is a different facility from what Salem spun 10 months ago.
And, it’s a different WKAT from the one sold in 2019 — the second incarnation of the Miami AM.
