The FCC is very much interested in the advancing white space utilization in order to bridge the divide that exists for many across the nation with respect to digital connectivity. As such, its Office of Engineering & Technology approved the official registry of .UK domain names — an entity with a Philadelphia-based U.S. office — to operate the Commission’s white space database system to provide service to the public.

It’s now renewed its call for the FCC to reconsider its decision.
