On June 8, RBR+TVBR reported on the sale of two Orlando stations by Bruce Maduri‘s Genesis Communications, in a deal brokered by Kalil & Co..

The buyer is a non-secular operator of religious stations, and its deal to buy the AMs has just closed.

Immaculate Heart Media, operator of the noncomm Relevant Radio, branded as “Talk Radio for Catholic Life,” agreed to pay $1.59 million for Class B WAMT-AM 1190, licensed the Orlando suburbs of Pine Castle and Sky Lake, and Class D WHOO-AM 1080 in Kissimmee.

A $75,750 deposit was been made to Kalil & Co. as an escrow deposit. The remaining funds were paid at closing.

The deal pushes Immaculate Heart’s total ownership of radio stations to 44; on August 1 it closed on the acquisition of six other stations, five of which are in Maine and were purchased from The Presence Radio Network. The other is WIGW-FM in Eustis, Fla., just northwest of Orlando, purchased from On This Rock Communications.

For Genesis, the business continues with WHBO-AM 1040 and WWBA-AM 820 in Tampa-St. Petersburg and WIXC-AM 1060 in Melbourne-Titusville-Cocoa, Fla.

Genesis also owns online publications News Talk Florida, Sports Talk Florida, and content production company United Cities Productions.
