Idaho-based religious broadcaster Edgewater Broadcasting is parting ways with four more FM translators, each located in different states across the Southwest. There is a single buyer for the stations, who will continue to use them to spread the gospel, but in another language.
For a total purchase price of $80,000, with 10% paid as escrow deposits, Texas-based corporation Elohim Group will receive the following translator stations:
K256BJ, in Borger, Tex. This translator will rebroadcast KXZX-LP in Juilliard, Tex.
K233CX, in Nogales, Ariz. This translator will rebroadcast KZYU-FM in Wellton, Ariz.
K288FK, in Clovis, N. Mex. This translator will rebroadcast KZTU-FM in Tucumcari, N. Mex.
K222BM, in Moapa, Nev. This translator will also rebroadcast KZYU-FM.
KXZX is owned by Comunidad Cristiana of Amarillo and serves a community to the north of the Texas city. Borger is to the far northeast of Amarillo.
KZYU is owned by Hispanic Family Christian Network and serves a rural area east of Yuma, Ariz.
KZTU, the property of Iglesia Shekina and serves the small New Mexico town of Tucumcari.
All are Spanish-language religious stations.
