Olvie Sisk-owned Air South Radio and Metro Radio are selling three Mississippi FMs.
The stations are: WFTA, Fulton, WCNA, Potts Camp and WLZA, Eupora.
Jackson-Mississippi-based Telesouth Communications is the buyer. CEO/Chair Stephen Davenport owns 100% of the assets.
The price is $1.15 million, allocated as follows: $500,000 each for WFTA and WLZA and $150,000 for WCNA. The buyer was to pay $25,000 deposit which was to be placed in escrow and applied to the total price at closing.
All licenses, construction permits, transmitters, towers an antennas are included except for one 600-foot WFTA tower and the seller’s leases for antenna space on that tower. According to the sales agreement, the buyer will have access to that transmitter site, which the seller will maintain up to the 400-foot level. The buyer will maintain the tower from that point and up to the top, as well as the transmitter building, and the station equipment.
WFTA is a Class C2 FM with an ERP of 50,000 watts @ 479’ HAAT; it operates on 101.9 MHz.
WLZA is a Class C2 FM with an ERP of 40,000 watts @ 548’ HAAT; it operates on 96.1 MHz.
WCNA is a Class C3 FM with an ERP of 14,000 watts @ 436’ HAAT; it operates on 95.9 MHz.
