GavelReaction continues to percolate on the passage of the upcoming television spectrum auction rules.


GOP leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton of Michigan and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden of Oregon said the commission’s plan does little to minimize the impact on stakeholders. They’re referring to the so-called “duplex gap” which they say leaves wireless providers “potentially marooned in the 600MHz band” while displacing unlicensed and wireless mic users.
