Simmons Media Salt Lake City sale closes

MVPMedia Venture Partners announced that Simmons-SLC, LLC has closed (7/3) on its sale to Broadway Media, LLC.  The transaction encompassed Simmons Media’s radio and tower properties in and around the Salt Lake City, UT radio metro. Media Venture Partners represented Simmons in this transaction.


Broadway Media (Dell Loy Hansen) announced it had bought (1/13) Simmons Media’s Adult Hits KYMV-FM, Rhythmic CHR KUUU-FM, Country KEGA-FM, Alternative KXRK-FM and CHR KUDD-FM in Salt Lake City and Oldies KMER-AM and AC KAOX-FM Kemmerer, WY for $11 Million.

Broadway began operating the stations with an LMA on 10/1/13. It also acquired  the Humpy Peak tower site from Simmons for $2 Million. Broadway currently owns Sports KALL-AM (ESPN Radio) in Salt Lake. KALL-AM was bought in May 2013 from Utah Radio, a subsidiary of Utah Soccer LLC to Dell Loy Hansen.
