Lehigh Carbon Community College has successfully spun off its WXLV-FM Schnecksville PA, which serves the Allentown-Bethlehem market. It’s going to a religious broadcaster who wants to make it a satellite of another station.
The buyer is Four Rivers Community Broadcasting Corporation, Charles W. Loughery. It has applied for a waiver to operate WXLV as a satellite of its WBYO-FM Sellersville PA. Sellersville just about splits the difference between Allentown to its north and Philadelphia to its south.
According to broker Greg Guy of Patrick Communications, the price is $705K. $155K of that will be accounted for with seller paper.
