Disappointing earnings reports from Google and GE put downward pressure on stock prices on Friday, but that was countered by a good report from IBM. So it was a very mixed market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the day up 97 points, or 0.8%, at 12,720. The S&P 500 was up slightly and the Nasdaq Composite down slightly. Broadcasting stocks were also mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was up 10.991, or 3.19%, to 355.560.
The TVBR Television Index was down 0.111, or 0.04%, to 246.665.
