Strong earnings from some tech companies on Friday drew investors to that sector and pushed the Nasdaq Composite higher. And there was also more good news about a possible debt ceiling agreement. But there was also a terrorist attack in Norway. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the day down 43 points, or 0.3%, at 12,681. Broadcasting stocks were mixed as well.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.067, or 0.6%, to 361.927.
The TVBR Television Index was down 2.009, or 0.8%, to 267.450.
