With the AMERICAN IDOL Top 5 Results show and an original BONES, FOX won last night across all key demos and beat next highest rated network by +88% in Adults 18-49 (4.7 vs. CBS’ 2.5) and +45% in Total Viewers (16.0 vs. CBS’ 11.0 Mil.).
AMERICAN IDOL: 6.1/20, up +7% from last Thursday’s show (Note that we expect IDOL to increase a few tenths in Nielsen’s final ratings in this afternoon).
IDOL was also up +6% in Total Viewers (20.8 vs. 19.6 Mil) and was the highest-rated program of the night.
Last night’s show retained 94% of the comparable telecast last year in Adults 18-49 and grew +6% in Total Viewers
In the 8p hour AMERICAN IDOL outperformed the next highest rated network (CBS) by +135% in Adults 18-49 and +131% in Total Viewers. IDOL also outperformed the combined 4-net competition in the 8p hour in Total Viewers by +7% (20.8 vs. 19.5 Mil.)
So far this season with Comparable Most Current ratings AMERICAN IDOL retains 95% Adults 18-49 and is up +2% in Total Viewers versus the same period last season.
BONES: 3.3/9, up +18% from last week
BONES was also up +14% in Total Viewers and ranked #1 in its hour among Total Viewers and Teens.
In fact, in the 8pm hour BONES topped an original CSI by +50% in the adult demo (3.3/9 vs. 2.2/6) and +6% in Total Viewers (11.1 vs. 10.5 Mil.)
