Sheen out of control; Two and a Half Men shut down (video)

The continuing saga of Charlie Sheen again has added another layer of problems for himself and the top rated comedy Two and a Half Men on CBS.

Sheen attacked the show’s creator, Alcoholics Anonymous, and the ladies he parties with and that was the straw breaking the CBS Warner Bros. back.

It was just a few weeks back that Sheen was in trouble and CBS put the show of hiatus. See the video.

RBR-TVBR stated this on January 29th: ‘Well guess this is it for comedy hit series ‘Two and a Half Men’. We can’t see the EYE network giving Sheen another chance. If CBS drops the program it not only hurts the EYE but it truly hurts the CBS affiliates at the local level. This will leave a big opening in CBS’s Monday night line-up.’

Statement from CBS Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television: “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of “Two and a Half Men” for the remainder of the season.”

The latest ratings Week 22: CBS again dominated, 16 of top 20 which Sheen was #6 TWO AND A HALF MEN (14.51m)

In latest syndication ratings 2/20/11 ‘Two and a Half Men’ continues to be the leader.

RBR-TVBR observation: The observation from Jan. 29th has come true, it truly will hurt the CBS affiliates at the local level. This will leave a big opening in CBS’s Monday night line-up. As for CBS the syndication will continue to roll in the big bucks so CBS doesn’t lose that much. Controversy always sells.

Just a side note: with the show being dumped close to 200 people will be out of work.
