Egyptians and Wall Street celebrated on Friday – 2/11/11

More than two weeks of mass protests in Egypt turned to celebration on Friday as President Hosni Mubarak resigned. That brought relief to Wall Street and sent stock prices higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 44 points, or 0.4%, to 12,273. Nearly all broadcasting stocks were higher.


The RBR Radio Index was up 8.424, or 2.2%, to 384.219.

The TVBR Television Index was up 6.644, or 2.7%, to 256.664 – an all-time high.
