A report from the private firm ADP Employer Services showed a bigger-than-expected jump in private sector employment, which excited Wall Street traders. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 32 points, or 0.3%, to 11,723. Broadcasting stocks, however, were mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was down 0.557, or 0.2%, to 344.903.
The TVBR Television Index was up 1.866, or 0.8%, to 227.183.
