FOX’s Sunday animation, ‘Sons of Tuscon’ wins in Teens young demos

FOX’s animated favorites and the premiere of new comedy SONS OF TUSCON combined to give the network a nightly win among Adults 18-34, Teens and Men 18-34:


At 8p, THE SIMPSONS posted a 2.6/8, down -10% from its last original on 2/21/10. THE SIMPSONS ranked No. 2 in the half hour among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 in Adults 18-34, Teens, Men 18-49/18-34 and Women 18-34. 

At 8:30p, a special encore of THE SIMPSONS posted a 2.5/7.
FAMILY GUY at 9p osted a 3.5/9, up +6% from its last original on 2/14/10. FAMILY GUY ranked No. 2 in the half hour among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 among Adults 18-34, Teens and Men 18-49/18-34.

The premiere of comedy SONS OF TUSCON at 9:30p posted a 2.1/5 and ranked No. 2 among Teens and No. 1 among Men 18-34 during its half hour. ‘

TIL DEATH at 7p (0.7/3) and 7:30p (0.8/3) combined to rank No. 4 in the hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Competition
ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos posted a 1.9/6 while Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2.3/6) was on the low side, -21% below its prior original average (2.9/7).  At 9p, Desperate Housewives (3.6/9) delivered its lowest original episode ever, down – 3% from its last original on 2/28/10 and -20% from its 2009/10 average (4.5/11).  Brothers & Sisters (2.5/7) dropped was in line with its last original but down -19% from its season average (3.1/8).

A low 60 Minutes (1.8/6) was followed by CBS’ Amazing Race 16 (3.0/8), which was up +15% versus last week.  At 9p, Undercover Boss (3.8/10) delivered its lowest original ever, down -25% from its last original on 2/28/10 and down -51% from its average with first-run episodes (7.8/19). The 10p Cold Case (2.5/7) was up +4% versus its last original on 2/28/10.
     
Following back-to-back premieres of the new game show Minute To Win It at 7p (1.5/5) and 8p (2.4/7), the two-hour season launch of NBC’s The Apprentice 9: Celebrity Edition (3.2/8) delivered the show’s lowest premiere rating ever, falling -18% from its 08/09 debut last spring (3.9/9 on 3/1/09).
