Ex-Cherry Creek VP To Lead Cumulus’ Boise Properties

The five audio brands serving Idaho’s largest metropolitan area have a new VP/Market Manager overseeing the stations, and he’s inbound from a small market in Arizona to the southeast of Tucson where Townsquare Media has a presence.


It’s an individual who is a former VP of Cherry Creek Media, which Townsquare acquired.

Now in the role is Mike Fabian, and he’ll oversee News/Talk KBOI; Country KIZN “Kissin’ 92.3”; Classic Rock KKGL “96.9 The Eagle”; Adult Contemporary KQFC “Magic 97.9,” and Sports Talk KTIK-FM “The Ticket.”

Fabian previously served as Chief Revenue Officer and Market President for Townsquare Media’s three stations in Sierra Vista, Ariz.: KZMK “K101,” KWCD-FM, and KTAN-AM (which uses an FM translator as “Thunder 98.1 Rocks.”

He’s been in the small Arizona market since 2022 and before that spent more than 12 years with the former Cherry Creek Radio.

In his new role, Fabian reports to Cumulus President of Operations Bob Walker. “We are excited to welcome Mike to Cumulus in Boise,” he said. “His experience in leading radio clusters that serve clients with robust radio and digital solutions will complement our team in Boise well.”
