Media stocks saw mixed trading on a down day for investors Friday, as radio companies fueled the gains on Wall Street.
SBS gained 60 cents to $3.75 on word that it is using an FM translator to improve its coverage of the Chicago market.
Cumulus Media was up 3 1/3 cents, to $1.41, while Emmis gained 2 cents, to $3.42.
Decliners include Viacom, off 70 cents to $42.05.
The RBR Radio Index rose 23.612, or 3.99%, to 614.700.
The TVBR Television Index rose 0.335, or 0.04%, to 946.436.
