John Fuller’s Red Wolf Broadcasting has signed an agreement to buy four stations from Davidson Media Group.
Red Wolf has taken over operating the two AMs and two FMs under a Local Marketing Agreement pending FCC approval of the purchase.
The price was not disclosed.
The stations involved in the transaction are: WKKB(FM), Providence, WSPR(AM) and WACM(AM), Springfield and WXCT(AM), Hartford.
Fuller — who got into radio at 21 with his first station in Hope Valley, Rhode Island — is glad to extend his reach with the Davidson stations and says he plans to continue his rollout of the Hispanic Boom. Fuller adds one out of every five Lexus vehicles is purchased by an Hispanic.
WKKB is an FM Contemporary Spanish-programmed format covering Rhode Island as well reaching into Fall River and New Bedford, Mass. WSPR too, carries Spanish programming while the AMs play Oldies.
“All of the Davidson stations will be technically enhances,” says Fuller; he adds the current Davidson employees will remain and given an opportunity to join the Red Wolf team when the sale receives regulatory approval.
Five towers and associate real estate are included in the purchase.
Richard Foreman Associates initiated the transaction and was the exclusive broker.
