SoldNorthern Kentucky University has filed paperwork with the FCC to sell one of its two stations.

The station is WPFB in Middletown, Ohio.

Sacred Heart Radio is the buyer and intends to operate the AM facility as a non-commercial station.

Sacred Heart is also the licensee of two other stations in the Cincinnati metro, commercial WNOP(AM), Newport, Ky. and non-commercial WHSS(FM), Hamilton, Ohio.

The price for WPFB is $450,000.

The parties also plan to sign a three-year tower rental agreement that the university also uses for WNKN(FM), Middleton, and Sacred Heart would pay the university $500/month to use the tower. Sacred Heart has the option to renew each 3-year deal 9 times.

Equipment that’s part of the WPFB transaction includes a Harris transmitter, Innovonics processor and a Belar modulation monitor.
