SoldA Gary IN station serving northwest Indiana and the southside of Chicago is changing hands. Radio veteran Pluria Marshall is selling WLTH-AM to Michillianna Broadcasting LLC.

Marshall’s license company is WLTH Radio Inc.

The buyer is headed by Marion R. Williams, who holds an 85% stake, and Earl Smith, who holds the rest.

The price will be $300K. Already plunked down is a $28,049.46 deposit and a $12,419.54 escrow deposit. The rest will be paid at closing.

WLTH is a Class B on 1370 kHz with 1 kW-D, 500 W-N, DAN.

The station beams from the extreme southern reaches of Lake Michigan. During the day, it serves the southeastern portion of the sprawling Chicago market, putting only distant and fringe contours over points north and west which include the heart of the city. Its range is more constricted once the sun goes down.

It’s a Talk station, calling itself WeaLTH Radio, the Voice of Northwest Indiana.
