Greater Media Ups Buzz Knight

Buzz-KnightBuzz Knight is now senior vice president of Program Development at Greater Media.

He was previously vice president of that department.

Knight is responsible for overseeing programming development for all 21 of Greater Media’s radio stations and working with station personnel to build content, digital and brand management strategies.

Knight has been with the broadcast owner since 2002. Previously, he programmed several rock stations, including CBS Boston-based classic rock WZLX, Saga Communications rock WNOR in Norfolk and Great American’s Active Rock WLVQ in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, the radio veteran spent three years on air on WNEW-FM in New York City. Knight launched his broadcasting career at WRKI in Fairfield County, Connecticut after graduating from the University of Dayton.

Knight represents Greater Media on several industry groups, including the Nielsen Advisory Council and NAB’s COLRAM Committee; currently, Knight chairs the Audio Committee of the Council for Research Excellence.
