LAS VEGAS — FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, seen Monday afternoon walking through the lobby of the Wynn Hotel, earlier in the day announced that he intends to establish a Federal Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment. This committee will be charged with providing recommendations to the FCC on empowering all Americans, and both Democratic Commissioner Mignon Clyburn and Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council (MMTC) President/CEO Kim Keenan expressed their approval over the plan.
One former FCC Commissioner did not, and is fuming over Pai’s proposal.
