Connoisseur Media has officially closed on its five Hartford stations from Buckley Radio. Connoisseur Southern Connecticut GM Kristin Okesson will run the Hartford group replacing VP/GM Eric Fahnoe. Connoisseur and Buckley announced 3/5 that Connoisseur is purchasing Classic Hits WDRC-FM and news-talkers WDRC-AM Hartford, CT; WMMW-AM Meriden, CT; WWCO-AM Waterbury, CT and WSNG-AM Torrington, CT.
Connoisseur Southern Connecticut OM Keith Dakin adds regional programming responsibilities for WDRC-AM.
Dick Foreman of Richard A. Foreman Associates, Inc. represented Buckley in the transaction. He tells RBR-TVBR: “The deal is compatible with Jeff Warshaw’s strategic northeast acquisition program and provides fill-in to his Long Island and Connecticut acquisitions.”
Other changes:
–Connoisseur Southern Connecticut MD Allan Lamberti becomes assistant PD for WDRC-AM, WDRC-FM, and WPLR. He also takes afternoon drive on WDRC-FM. Ed D’Oliveira gets Lamberti’s WFOX midday slot.
–Connoisseur Southern Connecticut APD Kevin Begley becomes PD of AC WEZN-FM Bridgeport and Classic Rocker WFOX-FM.
–Stu Gorlick, Buckley/Hartford DOS adds Connoisseur’s Active Rock WPLR-FM and Urban AC WYBC-FM in New Haven (owned by Yale University, operated by Connoisseur).
–Connoisseur Southern Connecticut GSM Andy Alcosser is now DOS for WEZN and WFOX.
