Compass Media Networks will air 25 Major League Baseball games featuring the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim beginning 5/29 as the Angels host the New York Yankees. Compass will hire its own broadcast crews and produce its own version of the broadcasts, similar to its other sports programming. The games will be heard nationwide (subject to standard local blackouts involving the participating teams’ home market). Dial Global will exclusively handle all ad sales.
The partnership will enable Angels fans–outside of LA and the other local markets served by Angels-O&O’d KLAA-AM and the Angels Radio Network–to hear coverage of Angels baseball and deliver sports fans nationwide greater opportunities to hear play-by-play games.
“The Angels have a tremendous brand, fan-base, and momentum,” said Peter Kosann, CEO of Compass Media Networks. “We are honored and thankful for this opportunity.”
Added David Baronfeld, KLAA GM: “Compass Media Networks has been a great programming partner to 830 AM KLAA and we welcome the chance to expand our relationship.”
