Commissioners weigh in on O’Rielly confirmation

FCC2014FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly received an early holiday gift from the US Senate – a full term on the Federal Communications Commission to add to the one he’s finishing up for Robert McDowell. His colleagues took time to offer congratulations.

Here are their remarks:

* Tom Wheeler: I congratulate Mike on his confirmation for a full term as Commissioner. He works diligently to improve the lives of all Americans through expanded access to 21st century communications and technology. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with him on the important issues before the Commission.

* Mignon Clyburn: Congratulations to my friend and colleague, Commissioner Michael O’Rielly, on his swift Senate reconfirmation. Commissioner O’Rielly has been a thoughtful voice for the American people, and I look forward to continuing to work with him on behalf of the public interest.

* Jessica Rosenworcel: I am proud to call Commissioner Mike O’Rielly both a colleague and a friend.
