Better Life Television Inc. has been running KUVU-LP Eureka CA in an LMA with Saint Partners II LP since 8/1/11. Now it is paying a nominal price to buy the station outright.
BLTV is headed by Ron Davis, the seller by Rob Castro.
The LMA came with a monthly rental fee of $1,800.
The price is a bargain compared to that — $10 cash. The option to purchase the station was exercised 1/11/13, and Sainte should be able to get some tax benefit by couching the transaction as a charitable donation.
BLTC recently received another donation – a CP for a new AM station in Grants Pass OR. The Class B 830 kHz is coming from Grants Pass Radio Company in a transaction filed 1/28/13.
